it's been 3 years since i spent thanksgiving with my family, so it felt good to have everyone in our home today. there was a lot of cooking, a lot of playing (including xbox kinnect) and a lot of football. i love thanksgiving. i've always loved a good meal, especially when shared with the people i love. and, i have lots of fun creating a nice table. not a super formal table, but something special... something just for this holiday. this year i printed place cards that read, "i am thankful for ____." i could have had everyone write in something they were thankful for, but when i looked at them i had the impulse to simply write "you" on each one of them. because i am. i am thankful for every single person that was sitting around the table with me tonight. i am thankful for your love and your support and all the ways that you have inspired me to be the person i am today. i am especially thankful for the opportunity to be together on this holiday that i love so much and for my daughter who said her own special thanksgiving prayer as we sat down to dinner. my heart and my belly are full.
