i'm pretty sure i'll look back on today as one of my favorite days of the year. we baked ALL day long. gavin and bob bob made sand tarts while brooke was at school. i baked nutmeg maple butter cookies and made more "christmas crack." kaye and i also baked the pieces for our gingerbread house as well as lots of little gingerbread boys and girls. the house smelled great, and the cookies tasted delicious. we listened to christmas music and played with the kids. for me, it was the perfect way to get in the holiday spirit. bob and kaye even gave us an early christmas present by spending another night with us and watching the kids so we could go to a neighborhood wine party. it was the perfect end to a perfect day!
